CALIFORNIA58 LOCAL ELECTIONS DESK — NOVEMBER 5, 2026. In Vallejo’s November 3 election, City Council Districts 4 and 5 reported separate candidate rankings. District 4 lists Brianna Rogers at 1,822 votes (53.0%), Charles Palmares at 1,196 (34.8%) and Chris Platzer at 419 (12.2%). District 5 lists Rebekah Truemper at 1,891 (46.1%), Tara Beasley Stansberry at 1,448 (35.3%) and Tanya Hall at 760 (18.5%).
The two council electorates are not interchangeable
Rogers has a 626-vote reported lead over Palmares in District 4, while Truemper leads Beasley Stansberry by 443 in District 5. These are two single-seat elections in different geographic districts. Residents elsewhere in Vallejo may not have had either race on their ballot. District 2, for example, had Diosdado “J.R.” Matulac as its sole named candidate in this snapshot.
What the vote counts establish
These counts identify the candidates ahead in the November 4 report but do not establish why voters supported them. They also cannot be converted into a citywide turnout rate by adding together the different district candidate totals. County election officials continue processing valid vote-by-mail and provisional ballots; their distribution among districts is not inferable from a countywide backlog estimate.
Public issues after certification
City Council work spans municipal spending, housing and zoning, infrastructure, and public-service delivery. Future council votes and budgets will provide a basis to assess officeholders. California58’s role is to report the count accurately and distinguish the ongoing canvass from the legally certified election outcome.
What source and timestamp mean
The Solano County results via KQED reflect the November 4, 2026, 7:40 p.m. Pacific county election report, reviewed on November 5. Future reports may add properly validated mail, provisional and other eligible votes. A reported precinct percentage does not equal final certification, and no result in this article is asserted as legally final. The Solano County Registrar of Voters publishes official county canvass updates; California’s statewide certification is scheduled for December 11.
Editorial note: preliminary results and election rules are reported independently of candidate endorsements. Source figures are dated to November 4, not a new November 5 county release.
