VALLEJO, Solano County — October 26, 2026. Motorists who have been navigating overnight paving on State Route 29 (Sonoma Boulevard) face a different schedule from Monday, October 26. Caltrans says the work zone from Sequoia Avenue near the California State University Maritime campus to Mini Drive at the Solano–Napa County line will now use daytime lane reductions through November 6.

Two lanes may close at a time, with at least one travel lane remaining available. The planned hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday. Crews will continue remaining work in segments 1 and 3 and begin paving the Curtola Parkway-to-Mississippi Street segment, subject to field and weather conditions.

What changed from earlier announcements

Previous weekly notices described evening and overnight work. The October 23 Caltrans update explicitly changed the work hours for the new period. Drivers should not rely on the schedule from October 19–23. Some adjacent parking, driveway and pedestrian access may be restricted as crews move; people needing to cross the active work zone should follow personnel’s instructions.
